Piano Recital

The girls had their first piano recital on May4. It was held at the Lyceum in Old Town Alexandria. Quite the posh affair for our little beginners. They loved playing on the grand piano. It was sure a delight to see them.





Even Mandi, who is not actually taking lessons yet, was able to participate with a number Sam did. They all did a wonderful job and I am proud of their hard work learning to play and sticking it out even when they didn't feel like practicing.
















Lizzie thought the girls did a marvelous job. She loves listening to them play. (Or is she just delighted she finally figured out how to get into Mom's purse?)


She also enjoys stealing attention by doing circus acts with Dad

Well, I decided its about time I try my hand at blogging.
I am pretty clueless right now but hopefully I will catch on quick and ya'll won't suffer too much.
Spring has sprung and we are enjoying it immensely. We have had a marvelous spring. Grandy and Papa came to visit and see the cherry blossoms. We were able to go to the cherry blossom parade and the kite festival among other things.
Right now everyone is all about caterpillars, bike riding, soccer and preparing for their upcoming piano recital. I need to restock our bandaids now that scraped elbows and knees are back in season. The girls are counting the days til the pool opens. I am counting the days 'til school is out and I get my girls home for a bit.
Lizzie has been taking her time becoming mobile which is new for us. She turned 8 months old today, time sure flies! She is sitting and scooting but not into the crawling or cruising bit. I have no complaints. Chasing a walking 8 month old (aka Emma) was pretty crazy.
